I recently had the pleasure of documenting the Milwaukee premiere of the documentary film Sign Painters at the beautiful Oriental Theatre.
I was thrilled to be a part of the celebrating that night, and to see the film myself in a packed theatre of enthusiastic viewers.
The film profiles a number of sign painters, young and old, from across the country with an emphasis on how the sign industry has
been changed by the “bigger, faster, cheaper” mentality of our societies over recent decades.
If you appreciate craftsmanship, Americana, and genuine and interesting characters, then you’ll love this film…
There will be more Milwaukee screenings coming this fall.
