Milwaukee Commercial Product Photography | Handmade Quilts | Cortney Heimerl

Cortney Heimerl is a Wisconsin native, author, creative, organizer, crafter, quilter… and also my friend!

You’ve seen her gorgeous handmade quilts in my photos in the past, and you’ll be be seeing more in the future.
I’ve commissioned her works for regular use as props for lifestyle sessions starting next season.

For now, head over to her newly added shop to commission a work of your own!

Milwaukee Wedding Photographer | Laura and Nate’s Lakefront Engagement

Laura and Nate (and their Weimaraner, Brody) were so much fun to get to know at their recent engagement session!

They are laid back and easy going, clearly very good friends, and as you can see, totally happy… and Brody is a riot.

Their destination wedding is bound to be a dream.

Milwaukee Wisconsin Wedding Photographer | L & A’s Third Ward Engagement Session

I recently met up with Leah and Adam in Milwaukee’s downtown for their winter engagement session.
We had all hoped for a little snow to make it extra “wintery”, but were happy with a relatively mild January day… at least for Wisconsin.

Leah wanted to be sure to get some shots in Adam’s Wisconsin jersey (to show off her future name, of course) and they looked so cute all
snuggled up together in red.  When we’d hit all of our favorite spots downtown, we headed to Milwaukee’s Third Ward for a fresh location
and a wardrobe change.

Now, I said it was a relatively mild day for Wisconsin… but it was c o l d, and very windy.
We froze our tushies off, and I had to take regular “hot-hands” breaks to thaw my fingers so I could function with my camera.
But these two were such good sports about it, especially Leah in that tiny (and adorable) little cocktail dress.
They were happy and enthusiastic which let all three of us have fun, despite our frozen tushes…
more importantly, it’s obvious they truly enjoy each other.

We finished up at Cuvee for a special champagne toast that Adam had planned for the two of them ahead of time.
Yummy, I love that space, and champagne!
special thanks to Cuvee for opening their doors early and allowing us to use their beautiful space for some great shots!

Congratulations Leah and Adam!  I look forward to working with you on your big day…
